February 14th

2011's valentine's day has proved itself different than any other. why? It started with a kind older man paying for my starbucks drink. He offered because it was valentine's day! I was surprised, i'm not used to daily generosity especially since we live in a world that is so self centered. I took the gesture and appreciated it. I still can't get over it and how nice it was. Good works really do pay off even if it's just your morning coffee things like this make me want to pass on the generosity, by "paying it forward".  The barista at starbucks told me he does this often this dude is def letting his little light shine.

The next thing that I came across this valentine's day when I got to my aerobics class was my best friend Brianna Guitron giving me chocolates! I totally didn't expect that. Especially since she bought me my favorite kind..she knows what's up ;) She is seriously the bestest best friend a girl could ask for and for that, I thank Jesus for blessing me with such a good friend who always puts me in my place. She never fails me and is always there for me . God definitely had a plan for our friendship to blossom like it did(:  [Blog to follow sometime soon about her]

My valentine's day continued, when I got home from school my mom had balloons,my favorite chips, a sandwich all for me! Once again i remained surprised. My mom never ceases to spoil me with stuff. She had wanted to head over to denM to get herself a pair of toms. When I was there, I came across the falling whistle that I had wanted to buy before, but it was kinda pricy. SIDE NOTE: Falling whistles are a campaign for peace in Congo. there is a was going on over there some that many are blind to. What happens when you buy a whistle?100% of the proceeds go towards rehabilitation for those who were imprisoned into the war and to fight for peace. http://www.fallingwhistles.com/story/story.html
I decided that I would hold off on toms, which are also an amazing organization that helps provide shoes for children in need . I decided to go through and buy a whistle, my mom handed me over half the amount of the whistle. Generosity again! I was able to get the one I had wanted (: We left the store buying a pair of wedge toms for my mom  ( +1 more pair of shoes for a kid in need) and myself this lovely whistle that I plan on wearing around my neck everyday to raise awareness! "Paid it forward"

When I got home,Crebin Bergado asked me "what does it mean to have a valentine?" I really didn't know how to answer.. I said for some it's to show affection for a day and have someone get you nice things? Maybe I was being bitter about the lack of valentine--other than my mom and my bestfriend. We had been complaining about it, and I was bold and asked " well want to be my far-away valentine?" we decided that we'd draw pictures and send em to each other. This was the one he drew me! It's so epically good... mine looked like the works of a five year old (no picture to follow) left me impressed.

Overall my valentine's day turned out the opposite of what I had expected, I thought it'd be like any other day... it was fun, surprising, and lovely(:

"oigo la palabra de dios"

Looking through the pictures from my TJ mission trip, this one stood out. I remember taking this picture perfectly I was walking around and the lady was really into her preaching but this little girl was talking to my mom about how she goes to this lady's house every week so she can hear the word of god. I was so moved by this, because she was so young and she loved Jesus and I saw the hope in her eyes. I had talked to her before she had so much joy and faith in her heart.
This I believe was her little brother, and there was an older brother. They were some of the happiest kids, I had ever met with practically nothing.

24

Yesterday Fcbruary 7th was my parents 24th wedding anniversary, I wanted nothing more than to blog yesterday but homework got in the way. They are the second edition to my featured February! I am so excited (: My parents are the cutest love birds to this very day! They have been this way since they were in high school. It's amazing to see them together and still so in love, many couples especially this day and age lack in that area; and you don't see it often you see so many divorces and I am proud to say my parents are one of the few couples that have stood strong through it all. My dad came from a rather poor family especially since he had so many brothers and sisters. He was born in Mexico and they came over at about the age of 7 where he learned english . My mom  was born here in California in Harbor City and was raised there as well. They met at Banning High School in Wilmington, California. Not many people know where that is, well it's near long beach. My dad was the track/cross country runner and my mom was the super smart girl who had high goals to go to college. My dad took it easy and got through just enough to pass, he ended up working at Albertsons which he still does today as a Meat Manager and my mom went to Cal State Long Beach. While she was in college they got married and a couple months later my brother came. When my mom got married she was actually prego with my brother, which is super surprising cause she was so thin! There love still continues to blossom by the day (:

Is that your sister?

The reason for the title is, Felicia Marie Cisneros is often confused as my sister. It's probably one of the most asked questions, Silly Folks she is my 25 year old aunt. It's my momma's sister and throughout the years she has become one of my best friends! I decided to blog about her for my first person in Featured February because she is one of my favorite people in this world . She never fails to brighten my day, though sometimes she can be a little feisty ( sorry Feli, you now it's true) she always has a smile on her face (:  I love love love, hanging out with her especially at disneyland. I only wish she lived closer. She lives in Wilmington,California with my grandma, uncle charlie, and the three most annoying birds to walk the planet. She adores the New York Yankees why  and the reason I have grown to love them ,  but don't get into an argument about baseball with her unless you feel the desire to get knocked down to the floor.  She graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills and works with kids on a playground. She is the second child out of four to receive a degree and it's something that all made us proud. She lived her life a bit differently then most kids her siblings are far older than she is and well, her parents were 50 when she came into this world. One thing I do admire about her is her strength, in 2008 her life was literally a roller coaster, at one point she was the happiest ever! to having to deal with a sick father in the hospital only leading to his death in July, where our family came together and comforted each other. She has fought the obstacles, made it through the credential program where I saw her only wanting to give up but when told " do it for freddy" she did! She rose to the top and made us all proud(: She lives off of three principles Live, Laugh, and Love. Everyday she is always living her life to the fullest, laughing and making everyone laugh, and loving unconditionally. I thank jesus for putting such an amazing person with an amazing heart into our family. Even though often times she is referred to as the "oops child" She is one of the best accidents to bless our family (:

Adventure is out there!

Today's school day was a different than others, perhaps because it didn't even consist of school and just of a place I call my second home: Disneyland.  I know I go there often, but today's trip was one of my favorite's.  Me and my best friend Brianna Guitron decided  Sunday night when I said I wanted to go to Disneyland because well a small escape from reality sounded like a good idea. Disneyland has always been one of my favorite places to be, I enjoy the happiness that surrounds it and the fact that I can truly be myself in there.
After some convincing she talked me into going, I was a bit hesitant because i'd be skipping class. We didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to hear it about skipping class to go somewhere I always go, but I mean I go to class all the time... ;)I felt like a kid again skipping school but it was worth the adventure. When we got there, it was a beautiful day and to top if off , the lines were short and there was a lack of people. It was perfect! Waiting in line ten minutes or less for every ride is my kinda deal (: Around two o'clock my friend Crebin Bergado met up with us which made the day that much better, we had one more person in on our little adventure. We danced, astro blasted, went to space, and rode on a thunder mountain. I even got a bruised finger via thee best friend! haha (: The day sadly had to end early, cause we were at school right? But 10-3:30 was non stop laughs and good times

Got owned ! He even ranked :(
funny facess (:
Now one could ask, what was so different about this Disneyland day?It was last minute, spontaneous , & I got to spend it with two people who brighten my day everyday!
the result of a successful disney day
